Hi! I'm Rob Wells, the guy who wrote or arranged the tunes in this directory. I hope you like them. This file just contains a little background to the making of the mods that I've done and a little bit about me. I'm a 22 year old student at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. I study Philosophy (mostly Metaphysics in various forms), Comparative Literature, and the odd Computer Science subject. I will probably be at Uni forever... I'm interested in music (duh!), this sport and that, eating good food, writing and making sure I don't have to get up too early in the mornings. I live with the two most wonderful girls in the world. They're called Kirsten and Mandy. Kirsten works as a research assistant at the Ludwig Institute here in Melbourne, doing cancer research. She has the same birthday as me, which I hate because there's nothing worse than buying a present for your own birthday. Mandy graduates this year from a prestigious ceramic art course at Monash Uni, and I'm convinved she will one day be a famous artist, if solely due to her warped imagination. She likes to spread her art throughout the house and cover every available surface when she's working. Before moving to an IBM PC, I'd been composing and arranging 4 channel mods on an Amiga computer for about 5 years. (Thus, for nostalgic reasons I will always own some type of Amiga computer.) I write music for computer games now and then, and I have done the odd bit of composing for various other commercial products. The music in this collection is not every 4 channel mod I've ever done, because a lot of what I've done isn't worth listening to. :) In fact, probably some of this stuff isn't worth listening to, either! I am currently working on my first professional audio CD, which should be ready some time in the next 3 months. It will be in the trance/ambient style, and I hope it will really be worth listening to. If you're interested, please contact me or Galileo Publishing. I've included a whole load of really self-indulgent text files with the mods in this collection in the vain hope that somebody might find them interesting. If you don't, then don't read them. :) I always like people giving me constructive feedback on my work, and I always like people getting in touch with me for music, sample swapping, or in fact for any reason whatsoever, so if you want to do any of these things, feel free. My addresses, internet and physical, and the contact information for Callisto Enterprises are in the file "Contact.txt". I usually talk to much, so that's enough for now. Enjoy the music on this CD! _________ _ /|_____ Cya, _| o_ /|_ Rob. _o___| o_ _____o___ Last revised 17-03-96.
